How to identify the grades of color-coated steel sheets? How many do you know?

To identify the color-coated plate brand, we need to know the naming method of color-coated plates. The naming of color-coated plate brands consists of three parts: color-coated code, substrate characteristic code and substrate type code. The substrate characteristic code and substrate type code are connected by a plus sign "+".

Color-coated code: The first letter "T" of the Chinese pinyin of the word "涂".

Substrate characteristic code:

a) Cold-formed steel

When the electroplated substrate is composed of three parts, the first part is the letter "D", which represents the cold-formed steel plate; the second part is the letter "C", which represents the rolling condition is cold rolling; the third part is a two-digit serial number, namely 01, 03 and 04.

When the hot-dip substrate is composed of four parts, the first and second parts are the same as the electroplated substrate, the third part is a two-digit serial number, namely 51, 52, 53 and 54; the fourth part is the letter "D", which represents hot-dip.

b) Structural steel

It consists of four parts, the first part is the letter "S", which stands for structural steel; the second part is a 3-digit number, which stands for the specified minimum yield strength (in MPa), i.e. 250, 280, 300, 320, 350, 550; the third part is the letter "G", which stands for heat treatment; the fourth part is the letter

"D", which stands for hot-dip galvanizing.

Substrate type code

"Z" stands for hot-dip galvanized iron alloy substrate, "AZ" stands for hot-dip aluminum-zinc alloy substrate, "ZA" stands for hot-dip galvanized aluminum alloy substrate, and "ZE" stands for electrogalvanized substrate.
